In a significant development, the Uttarakhand government has dealt a major blow to yoga guru Baba Ramdev's Patanjali Ayurveda and Divya Pharmacy Company. Following a stern rebuke from the Supreme Court, the government has taken the decision to ban 14 products from the renowned brand.

The banned products include cough medicine and various types of pills, which were found to have been advertised misleadingly. The License Authority of the Uttarakhand Government issued an order suspending the license of the company for publishing deceptive advertisements.

This move comes in the wake of the Supreme Court's criticism of Patanjali for failing to comply with directives to cease misleading advertisements. The Dhami government filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court on Monday evening regarding the misleading advertisements, highlighting the seriousness of the issue.

The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear the case involving Patanjali on Tuesday to decide whether contempt charges should be brought against Baba Ramdev. Despite the ban on these products, Patanjali has remained silent on the matter.

The 14 banned products from Patanjali's Divya Pharmacy Company are as follows:

Shwasari Gold
Breathing Vessel
Respiratory Fluid
Respiratory Trace
Divine Broncom
Mukta Vati Extra Power
Lipidome
BP Grit
Madhugrit
Madhunashini Vati Extra Power
Livamrit Advance
Livogrit
Igrit Gold
Patanjali Drishti Eye Drop

This ban serves as a strong message to companies indulging in misleading advertising practices. It underscores the importance of transparency and accuracy in product promotion, especially in the healthcare sector. The actions taken by the Uttarakhand government and the Supreme Court aim to protect consumers from false claims and ensure their safety and well-being.
