Complementing Jan Aushadhi Kendras is the Ayushman Bharat - Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, offering a financial safety net to over 60 crore beneficiaries. This world's largest health protection scheme provides health coverage of Rs. 5 lakh per beneficiary family per annum, acting as a shield against unforeseen health emergencies.

Ayushman Arogya Mandir: Transforming Healthcare from Curative to Preventive

Expanding healthcare services, Ayushman Arogya Mandir or Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness Centres offer a range of services from maternal and child care to non-communicable diseases. With over 1.60 lakh operational centers, these centers provide essential drugs, diagnostic services, teleconsultation, and wellness services free of cost.

India's Strides in Medical Education, Infrastructure, and Digital Innovation

India's healthcare progress isn't limited to affordability. In the past nine years, medical colleges increased by over 70%, AIIMS hospitals from 8 to 23, MBBS seats to over 1.1 lakh, and PG seats to more than 65,000. The PM-Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission with Rs.64,180 crore funding focuses on developing health capacities across levels.
