Let me share my experience..before thinking 🤔 to go to CMC just read this and share to your loved ones. Last year for my brother end stage kidney failure second opinion we went. We had biopsy report and all blood tests done at very reputed hospitals. We where the impression of CMC a reputed hospital in india. The nephrology team led by Dr. Vinod, Dr.Suceena, Dr Shibu… The drs not ready to accept any of the report and asked to do all test at CMC. After doing these test, they forced my mother can be donor(she is 65 Pius and any one knows she can't be a donor) and went through cross matching and total bill came to 2.5 Lakhs after that they said mother age more so they try with brother wife and spend another 1 Lakh to get result that her mother diabetic so can't be donor. Even they said a different diagnosis for the biopsy report which clearly mentioned something else. The cost of cross matching was 75K where as all reputed multinational hospital not even charged 50 percent. Govt medical coll will charge only 25 percent. There only aim to extract money…poor people think that going big hospital is expensive and CMC look like old building and cheaper. We some how escaped done transplantation at other reputed hospital and brother is fine. Even those drs surprised with CMC testing and wrong diagnosis. Now last week i myself went since i had early stage kidney issues. I went with all recently tested reports and biopsy report and same as above repeated. My humble request is CMC is not like the one 5 yrs back, they will loot you and treatment also bad. May be 5 to 10 yrs back there were not good hospital with facility so all going to CMC. Even they not doing charity to poor infact poor paying double cost than any private hospital. God bless you (Source: https://www.quora.com/What-is-your-review-of-Christian-Medical-College-and-Hospital-Vellore)
